Simple whirling toys were mentioned in English literature as early as 1686 under the general name for spinning toys, ""whirligig"", and were known to be as popular in early America as they were in Europe. The sound of this wooden whirling disk, made louder by the ""saw tooth"" edges, lends this version of the folk toy its common name of ""buzzer"" or ""buzz saw"".

We craft our buzz saw here at our Vermont shop of solid pine, and package it with ready to play with 2 wooden handles in a poly bag with a history and instruction card.

Not for children under 3. Recommended for adults and children aged 8 years and above.
